Student Support Services
The new EIT App is live now!
You need to sign in with your EIT login to access personalised information but anyone can login as a guest to access public information including campus maps and events. The App has the same functionality on both Google and Apple platforms and also works on tablets and computers.
Features include:
personalised information targeted by students’ campus (Hawke’s Bay, Tairāwhiti, Auckland & Regional Learning Centres). timetables email student services campus maps news and events.

Hardship Grant
EIT has established a new hardship grant to support students who are suffering hardship due to the impact of COVID-19.
Current EIT students are able to apply for this financial assistance.
To see whether you are eligible for this funding you will find the criteria here [http://myeit.eit.ac.nz/COVID-19_financial_support.html].
Successful applicants will receive funds credited directly to their bank accounts. There is no requirement for any part of these funds to be repaid.
Students are able to loan a laptop from EIT if they need to study from home. The form for this is here [http://myeit.eit.ac.nz/Student_laptop_borrowing.html]. Students will go on to a waiting list and will be contacted when a laptop is available.
Laptops are to be returned in good condition at the end of the academic year or at the end of their course, whichever date is earliest.
Younited Elections
Elections 2020
Younited Student Association serves students by advocating for student issues and to promote the social, cultural, recreational, and educational interests of EIT students.
If you are continuing with your studies next year, Younited are looking for you to stand in the elections. If you are elected to the board, you will have a voice to represent EIT students.

Free Health Services - Turanga Health
Turanga Health provide free nursing services for EIT students. If you have any health concerns you can visit them at:
Turanga Health, 145 Derby St.
Office hours Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.
Just take your student ID to present at reception.
New Student Liaison Advisor
Justine Read-Bloomfield describes her decision to study Te Reo Māori at EIT as life changing. Now Justine is able to use her life and Te Reo Māori skills in her new student liaison role. Her main role involves interacting with students and careers advisors to work out future pathways and that isn’t limited to just our young people.

Extended hours for the library
The Library is trialling Sunday opening for the rest of the semester. The staff are there to assist you or just make use of a quiet study space. The students above were the first to take advantage of the extended hours.
Hours of opening
Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 6.00pm
Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm
Saturday - Sunday 10.00am - 2.00pm
